State Sen. Wendy Davis, the leading Democratic candidate in the Texas governor's race, spoke out Monday against her likely Republican opponent, Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, and what she called his inaction on addressing the state's "broken school funding formula." Davis said fixing it would probably require Abbott to urge the governor to call lawmakers back for a special session.
