Video: Sexual Assault Case Could Open Door for Reviews

Nearly two decades ago Elizabeth Ramirez, Anna Vasquez, Kristie Mayhugh and Cassandra Rivera were accused and convicted of sexually assaulting Ramirez's nieces. Now, one of the nieces has recanted and defense lawyers are working to exonerate the women.

In 1994, Elizabeth Ramirez, Anna Vasquez, Kristie Mayhugh and Cassandra Rivera were accused of sexually assaulting Ramirez's nieces, age 7 and 9. They were all convicted and sent to prison. This month, Vasquez was released on parole. Now, one of the nieces has recanted and defense lawyers at the Innocence Project of Texas are reinvestigating the case, hoping to exonerate the four women.
