T-Squared: Our Six-Month Stats

I'm pleased to report that the Trib's first-half-of-the-year traffic and fundraising numbers are significantly ahead of where they were in 2011.

It's transparency time here at the Trib, and I'm pleased to report that the first six months of 2012 were solid on all fronts.

Our total monthly unique visitors are more than 30 percent higher than they were at this time in 2011, our visits to the site are more than 15 percent ahead of last year's, and our page views are holding steady. Meanwhile, with half of the year elapsed, we're already better than two-thirds of the way to meeting our ambitious revenue goal.

The site traffic numbers:

January to June 2012 (2011) % change

Visits: 5.126M (4.434M) +15.6%
Unique Visitors: 2.96M (2.27M) +30.1%
Page views: 20.72M (21.01M) -1.4%

An important reminder about those stats: 2011 was a legislative session year and 2012 isn't. Perhaps a better comparison, then, is to 2010 — the last non-Lege year.

January to June 2012 (2010) % change

Visits: 5.126M (1.608M) +218.6%
Unique Visitors: 2.96M (903,951) +227.7%
Page views: 20.72M (8.64M) +139.7%

Can't wait to see what the first half of 2013 looks like.

As for our fundraising numbers, I'll simply say that we've raised just over $3 million toward a revenue goal of $4.5 million. At this time last year, we'd raised just under $2.5 million. So we're 20 percent ahead.

Thanks, as ever, to each and every one of you for your support.
