REPRESENTATIVE DAVID SIMPSON: Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Ladies and gentlemen, let's -- let's pray. Our Father and our God, we thank you for your goodness and mercy that follows us all the days of our lives. Lord, we do not deserve that mercy, but we rejoice in it and we thank you for it. We thank you for our freedom that we still have. We pray that you would grant us the wisdom and courage to do what is right in this place that we might please you; and that we might have as much peace on earth even as there is in heaven. We pray you forgive us of our sins, and we thank you for the righteousness that is perfect and complete in your Son that you offer to us all. We pray all these things in his name. Amen.

Members, I want to give you an update on where the House and the Senate are on the major bills as we get into the last days of this special session, and to give you a sense of what our schedule will be over the next few days. First, I want to thank all the members who have been working tirelessly to get these bills out of the committee to the floor, and to conference. On Monday, it is the Chair's intent to take up all of the bills on items eligible for consideration, whether they be adoption of conference committee reports, Senate amendments to House Bills, or the appointment of conference committees. If there's legislation on the House calendar, the Chair intends to take that up as well. The major items under consideration by conference committees at this time are SB 1, SB 2, SB 6, SB 7, SB 8. Other items that could be eligible for consideration shortly include HB 3. As I stated on Wednesday, I want to encourage each of you to be here for the final days of this special session. It is the Chair's intent to wrap up all of our outstanding issues before we sine die on Wednesday, June the 29th. Mr. Doorkeeper.
