The Texas Tribune is offering two yearlong fellowships, supported by the Scripps Howard Foundation, to train budding journalists. Applicants can choose from two tracks: multimedia reporter and data visualization developer. The fellowships run from June 2022 through May 2023, pay $50,000 and include full benefits.
The deadline to apply is Dec. 19, 2021.
A multimedia reporter would work closely with The Texas Tribune’s multimedia team and reporters to produce documentary-style stories about the most important issues facing Texas. This person would get involved in every aspect of multimedia production, from planning and pitching original ideas to camerawork in the field to editing and post-production. Ideal candidates have experience in these areas along with a strong interest in policy-focused journalism and multimedia storytelling. Expertise in Adobe Premiere and Spanish language skills are a plus.
