Drought Continues to Impact Texas Water Utilities

Despite the end of the severe drought in Texas, the state's water and sewer utilities will continue to see an impact, according to Fitch Ratings, the international bond ratings agency.

Lake Travis, a major water supply reservoir for Austin, is severely depleted due to drought. The State Water Plan calls for dozens more such reservoir projects to be built in the coming decades to meet Texas' future water needs.
