U.S. and Mexico Cooperating on Aquifer Study

Researchers from the U.S. and Mexico have begun studying the aquifers, known as "transboundary aquifers," that straddle the two countries to gain a unified picture of the underlying groundwater systems.

Researchers from the U.S. and Mexico have begun studying the aquifers, known as "transboundary aquifers," that straddle the two countries in order to gain a unified picture of the underlying groundwater systems and initiate planning for the future. A final report on the San Pedro Aquifer, which lies on the border of Arizona and Mexico's state of Sonora, has been issued with a report on the Santa Cruz Aquifer to be published early next year.
