Diet or Exercise: Which Helps the Middle-Aged Heart More?

A new study found that diet, exercise, or a combination of the two were about equally successful for heart health as long as the patient lost weight.

Since the passage of a 2007 law allowing state employees a 30-minute exercise break three times per week, state agencies have begun offering lunchtime workout programs. Last month, the Texas Department of Public Safety took home the "fittest large agency" prize in the state's GetFitTexas challenge.
