South Carolina Lawmaker Proposes Gun Curriculum in Schools

Hoping to inspire gunmakers to move to South Carolina, a lawmaker there has proposed a bill called the Second Amendment Education Act, which would mandate a three-week gun curriculum for elementary, middle and high schools.

Hoping to inspire gunmakers to move to South Carolina, state Rep. Alan Clemmons of Myrtle Beach has proposed a bill called the Second Amendment Education Act, which would mandate a three-week gun curriculum for elementary, middle and high schools devised by the National Rifle Association. The move comes after gun manufacturer PTR Industries fled Connecticut and its post-Sandy Hook restrictions on assault weapons and large-capacity magazines for South Carolina. (Al Jazeera America)
