In 2015, the energy beat was packed with action: a bitter fight over who should regulate drilling; angst over plummeting oil prices; a federal "Clean Power Plan" that aims to transform Texas' — and the nation's — energy sector; and a solar energy surge. Many of these storylines will stretch into 2016, and we’ll spend plenty of time in West and South Texas, chronicling how drilling towns are faring amid the downturn.
