Texas Tribune/ProPublica Investigative Unit

The Texas Tribune and ProPublica are creating a joint investigative unit based in Austin to cover important accountability stories throughout Texas. And we’re looking for a senior editor to lead it.

The editor will have the responsibility to guide, edit and elevate the work of five reporters who will work for the unit — and to ultimately create compelling investigations that spur change.

The editor will officially be on the ProPublica payroll, but will work with and for editors and staffers at both news organizations. The job is based in Austin.
