SXSW Housing & Travel, in partnership with the Texas Tribune Festival, has blocked guest rooms for conference attendees at the AT&T Executive Education and Conference Center, and select surrounding hotels.

Why book my hotel now?

SXSW Housing & Travel negotiates competitive rates for Texas Tribune Festival attendees at the AT&T Executive Education & Conference Center and select surrounding hotels. This ensures easy access to Texas Tribune Festival activities. 

How do I pay for my Hotel?

In order to make a hotel reservation with us, you must use a credit card to secure the reservation. Nothing is charged to the card at the time of booking. The reservation is paid for in full directly to the hotel upon checkout.

If you don’t plan to travel with the credit card you intend to use to pay for your reservation, you must fill out a credit card authorization form and submit it directly to the hotel. The hotel will not receive reservations until two weeks prior to the Texas Tribune Festival. When the hotel receives and processes your reservation, you will receive another reservation confirmation containing your confirmation number. Once you receive your confirmation number, you will be able to provide the hotel with the pre-authorization form.

How do I change or cancel my booking?

Changes and cancellations must be made through SXSW Housing & Travel, not the hotel. To make changes, follow the "Request for Change" link in your reservation confirmation email.

Please review all change requests carefully before submitting as you may not be able to add canceled nights back to your reservation.

I called the hotel and they don’t have my reservation! Should I panic?

No. The hotel will not receive reservations made with us until two weeks prior to the Texas Tribune Festival. When the hotel receives and processes your reservation, you will receive another reservation confirmation containing your confirmation number.

All changes and cancellations should come through SXSW Housing & Travel until 72 hours before check-in.

Can I use frequent traveler or rewards points to pay for my hotel reservation?

No. Hotels don’t allow you to book reservations with rewards points during very busy time periods and special events. However, you can usually accrue points for your stay if you belong to your hotel’s frequent guest program. Include your membership number in "Frequent Travel #" field when submitting your online hotel request.
