Please join us in person or online for a conversation with state Sen. Eddie Lucio Jr. and state Rep. Jose Manuel Lozano, moderated by Texas Tribune CEO and editor-in-chief Evan Smith.

Lucio, D-Brownsville, began his public service in 1971, as the Cameron County treasurer and later Cameron County commissioner. He serves as the chairman of the Intergovernmental Relations Committee and vice chairman of the Education Committee, and he sits on the Natural Resources & Economic Development and Veteran Affairs & Military Installations committees and Subcommittee on Border Security. 

Lozano, R-Kingsville, serves as the chairman of the Redistricting Committee and vice chairman of the International Trade & Intergovernmental Affairs Committee, and he sits on the Environmental Regulation Committee. He previously served on the Energy Resources Committee. He also served on the House Republican Caucus Policy Committee and as vice chairman of the House Energy Caucus.

This event will be held in the Curtis and HP Pinnell Family Memorial Auditorium of the Caesar Kleberg Wildlife Center in the Stephen “Tio” and Janell Kleberg Wildlife Research Park at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. The event is free and open to the public and includes a light lunch. Visitors to campus will park in the free parking adjacent to the venue (map and directions). The livestream will begin at noon.
