Jimmie Don Aycock is the representative of Texas’ House District 54, first elected in 2007. Aycock is currently chair of the Public Education Committee and is a member of the Defense & Veterans' Affairs Committee.
He previously served on the Culture, Recreation & Tourism, the Agriculture and Livestock, Higher Education and Redistricting committees.
Aycock is a veterinarian and rancher who earned his Bachelor of Science and D.V.M degrees from Texas A & M University. Aycock has been a director of the Greater Killeen Chamber of Commerce and a past president of the Harker Heights Chamber of Commerce. He is director of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and the Killeen Quality of Life Committee. He is a member of Rotary International. He is also a deacon and a Bible teacher of First Baptist Church of Killeen.
