Matt Angle is a Democratic political consultant who serves as the director of the Texas Democratic Trust. He also founded the Lone Star Project, a federal political action comittee. He is based in Washington, D.C.
Previously, Angle served as chief of staff to former U.S. Representative Martin Frost of Texas.
"Angle isn't a household name to casual political observers," wrote Chris Cilizza, of The Washington Post. "But he -- perhaps more than any other Democrat in Texas -- is responsible for the aggressive stance the party has taken toward DeLay and other Lone Star State Republicans since the 2004 election.
Matt Angle was raised in Haltom City, Texas and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. Matt and his wife Dolly have two sons.
