Longtime AP photographer Harry Cabluck on November 17, 2009.

Harry Cabluck is a former Associated Press photographer who worked for the AP more than forty years before he was laid off in November, 2009. He's considered a longtime fixture at the Texas Capitol who has taken pictures of every president since John F. Kennedy.

Cabluck's camera has captured many historic moments. He was in the motorcade on that fateful day in 1963, caught countless backroom moments of George W. Bush's run for the White House and virturally every sporting event imaginable. Cabluck was also there to shoot the famous "immaculate reception" in the Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Oakland Raiders 1972 NFL playoff game.

Cabluck got his start as a rodeo photographer in 1956. He celebrated more than 50 years of chronicling life, history and Texas in 2006. He has said he "never plans to retire" but was laid off by the AP during company-wide cuts in the fall of 2009.
