Delisi Leaves Transportation Post for Perry Campaign
Texas Transportation Commissioner Deirdre Delisi submitted her resignation to Gov. Rick Perry today. Now, she will have more time to devote to his presidential campaign.
Delisi, a close adviser and former chief of staff to Perry, is currently serving as a policy and strategy director on his presidential campaign. But for the last three years she has been at the helm of the transportation agency's governing board.
The agency has experienced significant change in that time. They recently announced a new executive director: Delisi's fellow former Perry aide and former Secretary of State Phil Wilson.

That's a good thing. It's one fewer state employee working on the Perry campaign during office hours. There's plenty more working for Perry while collecting a state paycheck. That's why he keeps his records where we can't see them.

The entire state of Texas is filled with loyal Perry devotees. It is a sad day that our state employees must pledge allegiance to Rick Perry instead of the United States of America.

Glad to hear Delisi's leaving Texas Trans. Depart. She was already working her new job fawning over RP, and that seems like a conflict of interest. Wilson sounds like her fraternal twin. But, that is Perry's Texas, not mine.
