Texas Dental Board is Accused of Ineptitude
Texas toddlers being held in restraints as dentists at corporate-run clinics performed unnecessary root canals were among the dental horror stories told Wednesday at a House Public Health Committee hearing at the state Capitol.
The Texas State Board of Dental Examiners, which regulates dental licensing in Texas, was the subject of criticism by members of Texans for Dental Reform and unaffiliated residents, who called for legislative reform while levying accusations of ineptitude, a pattern of withholding or obscuring negative information about dentists, and failure to act against corporate-run dental clinics committing Medicaid fraud and harming patients.
But others came to ...

Is there anything in our state government that isn't inept?

This turns my stomach.

I totally agree, everything is inept here in Texas. Lived here all of my life and it was such a beautiful state when I was a child.

UNIMAGINABLE VOTER FRAUD
It has recently come to light that the SOE Corporation based in Tampa, FL was purchased by the Spanish online voting company SKYTL. SOE was the largest vote processing corporation in the United States; recording, counting and reporting the votes in 26 American States. This encompasses 900 total jurisdictions across the nation. SKYTL is based in Spain, which means the votes in the 2012 Presidential election will now be counted in a foreign country.
Simply stated, our votes will now be routed to a centralized, privately held server in Barcelona, Spain where the opportunity exists to alter the outcome of the election in Barack Obama's favor. The CEO of SKYTL, Pere Valles, is a known Socialist who resided in Illinois during Barack Obama's tenure as a United States Senator and donated heavily to his 2008 election campaign.
Our military overseas will again be disenfranchised as they will be voting online and SKYTL will control the method of voting.
The stage has been set for unimaginable voter fraud as there will be no paper ballots and, thus, no way for the voting public to authenticate who actually cast the votes or the count.
We, the citizens of TEXAS, demand that you as our United States elected official representing the State of Florida stand up and not only loudly denounce this fraud being perpetrated on the American people, but effectively stop it. Our future and the future of our Country hangs in the balance.
Remember Obama's statement to Medvedev, "After my election". Apparently he is supremely confidant everything is firmly in place to make that a reality.

State "regulators" do nothing to protect the public. It's not just medical & dental boards. Those who want to follow the law & protect Texans are shut down by agency administrators.
Ouija
Will a Texas Tribune writer follow up on how this dental abuse could be related to the Frew lawsuit and calls for more tax money in Texas to be directed to Medicaid? The fraud and abuse in the story suggests that it was pushed by investment banks who seek to profit from the higher rates paid for dental work via Medicaid. So, how does this story relate to those from the traditional "left" who are calling for more money to be poured into Texas Medicaid? This story ruins the narrative that Texas is too tight with Medicaid money.
Which narrative is the Tribune trying to push? Texas either is not pouring enough money into entitlement programs like Medicaid, OR Texas health officials are too loose with oversight of current funds... it can't be both, can it? Who benefits from poverty advocates using Medicaid funding to push for more taxpayer funds? Looks like investment banks do who game the system. Nice example of the way central power of the purse can lead to corruption, merging investment banks with the left.

This board protects dangerous dentists...

Sadly, the Texas Board of Dental Examiners lacks any real enforcement, a tiger without teeth so to speak. As a dental student, I am relieved to report that the "treatment" described in the article is not accepted or taught by our dental health professionals. This article does a great job explaining how underfunding and lack of power are enabling dishonest dentists to treat patients unethically.

The truth is more typical that republican big interests are heck bent on denying dental care to children in the state that brags about being the highest uninsured and low wage state in the nation.
Search such topics on propoganda partisan sites such as the "wealthy dentist "who only wants dental care and orthodontics for wealthy patients who's parents can drop money on dental work like it is chump change.
This is nothing but in fighting between sales competitors. Fact is that most corporate dental clinics flat out won't process medicaid insurance and push people on private pay based on credit worthiness.
Access to necessary dental care is like the rest of the medical needs access in Texas. It is a discriminatory big money operation targeting only wealthy clientele.
Sure there may be fraud mongers just look at all the fraudulent public money for deep pockets of oil cronies, pharma cronies and private insurance industry cronies who buy all the republican influence they can.
Look at the scam that dentists and medicaid do do deny paying for services like private insurance does. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas has A$$ETS (revenue from premiums) in Texas of almost $30 Trillion dollars and pays out only 1/4 of that.
Texas needs to vote out all republicans or it will have worst dental health in the NATION track record.
Republicans want to keep people in deprived conditions with substandard access to care.
think
The FED needs to investigate why Texas Medicaid is on a republican propoganda mission trying to deny paying for services for Texas children's dental care. The Federal Trade Commission needs to investigate the private insurance $$ interests who are controlling public serving agencies for their own self interest.
Private insurance tycoons are dominating Texas politics and get away with fraud by charging $500 a month for private health insurance for individuals . It pays out nothing. Same thing for private dental insurance . It is a scam money raking racket. Collect premiums and pay nothing. That is how they have hundreds of Trillions of dollars in profits.
The real crooks are the private insurance companies and the dentists who deny children services unless it is out of pocket if they have good credit.
