consistency...hmmm...you want federal money, you don't want federal money, you want federal money, you don't want federal money....

He's right - but wrong administration.

What about consistency with your philosphy, Gov? In accordance with your views, shouldn't we be letting the free market deal with this? Taxes actually do pay for services, and when you keep cutting them for 30 years, something has to give - of course, unless you are Borrow and Spend Republican.
Ben Martinez via Texas Tribune on Facebook
The only consistency comes from you, gov. And that is that you are always a jerk.

All you nay sayers can go back up north to live.....

This is what we get for re-electing an "anti-Washington Gov. Why should they do Texas any favors when Texas will just turn around and stab them in the back again next election cycle.

Hey Gary, I'm from here, and as more people have moved to Texas, it's gotten more Republican.
David Maserang via Texas Tribune on Facebook
@Gary - born here, been here longer than most. Wanna try again? Take your shot, Buddy!

The nay sayers...say "be more like the rest of the states...get with the program Texas, and when the Gov tries it....he gets slammed for that too. Some folks are only happy as long as they can complain!

Reminds me of Perry's claim of how many jobs he created in TX the last two years -- the same exact number of jobs created in TX by the federal stimulus. And reminds me how TX received quite a chunk of that federal money. Ahhh, the inconsistencies, indeed, Guvna. May we have some more?

Republicans like Perry scream that they hate government, don't want no government, don't need no stinkin' government but oooppssssiieeee looks like Perry and his gang have finally figured out that there might be a real need for government now and again. Can't have it both ways, chumps!

Perry, f*cking up

So it is okay to talk about secession when you don't like Washington telling you what to do, but it is also okay for you to complain when they don't do what you want them to do. Who's inconsistent?
Bruce Jaster via Texas Tribune on Facebook
H-Y-P-O-C-R-I-T-E. The new definition of the word "Perry". Just go ahead and secede and stop complaining. We all know you're "Fed Up".
Tim Hurst via Texas Tribune on Facebook
there is no consistancy with perry. lie after lie after lie
Jack Lewis via Texas Tribune on Facebook
Perry just go away, please!!!! You hurt this state more every time you open your mouth... From Not taking federal money when it is offered, to now begging for it, from caring about how many companies are moving here, but not caring about the people of the state... IDIOT!!!

You know, the Feds are just giving Perry what he wants: his own private Third World country. Uninsured. Uneducated. Unregulated. Who needs NAFTA when you got Texas? You can get all that cheap labor stuff from here without ever crossing an international border. Remember the New South? Well Rick and the Tea Party Rebels are going to make sure it stays up in some pantywaist place like North Carolina. Dumb. Dumber. Dumbest. A gift to the Democrats: the Yahoo frat boy who shoots himself in the foot

I thought he WANTED to secede. Just proves the old adage "be careful what you pray for, you just might get it".
W.R. Greene via Texas Tribune on Facebook
What's the problem? He asked us to all pray for rain. It DID rain where I am. Whether it was the Almighty or just an atheistic cold front that caused it, "Mission Accomplished" and STFU!
John Reiser via Texas Tribune on Facebook
Thanks to the people of Texas, he is now known as Governor-for-Life Perry. And to think people tsk-tsked when Marion Berry was reelected in D. C. At least, he was on the voters' side.
Michael Tex Duncan via Texas Tribune on Facebook
Perry, Cornyn, and FEMA are all asserting facts. Would be nice if someone out there would report the veracity of their assertions rather than just publishing he-said/she-said articles.
Dale H Curry via Texas Tribune on Facebook
You know its simple Ricky. When you take money from the FED, use it for purposes other than what it was designated for, then spend the next two years attacking them, chances are they will tend not to listen to you when you scream the sky if falling. Your just a big ole COWARD RICKY!
Patricia Wood
The FACTS he leaves out have been clear---Texas' fire damage is covered by more than 75 grants which have already generated funds (and will continue) to help cover the costs of the wild fires. In contrast, the tornadoes that destroyed so many communities and lives recently are NOT covered with similar grants, making the disaster declaration a matter of urgent necessity. But who needs facts when you can create your own reality? The hypocrisy is clear---govt hater whining for govt money---stimulus basher grabbing money every step of the way!
Annette Bryant
What do you expect Gov.? You have written your hate book and bad mouthed the Feds. Never burn your bridges before or behind you. At least YOU are consistent, lie, lie, lie to the people while filling your own personal pockets. Begone with thee.

He truly is fed up.
