House Tentatively Passes Windstorm Insurance Bill
The Texas House today approved a measure meant to bolster the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association, the state's largest provider of hurricane insurance. It's a bill that has pitted Republican Gov. Rick Perry and trial lawyer Steve Mostyn, the largest Democratic donor in Texas, against one another, and it's a key reason that lawmakers are in a special legislative session.
Negotiations over lawsuit restrictions in the bill came to a boiling point during the regular legislative session when Perry and Mostyn staked out opposite sides of the issue. Perry and many members of the GOP-dominated House want to ...

Ever try to make a claim on insurance? good luck, its worthless paper that the law makes you purchase. Rick Perry bought and paid for by big biz, now on to D.C. and bigger and better things. This guy is douche-tastic.

Here's my question:L If this quasi-governmental agency has been getting money from Texans all this time, where's the money? How much does the chief officer or head honcho get for over-seeing that the funds get saved so that there is monies and funding for hurricanes other "IKE"S" of the future? Was this person appointed and who appointed him/her? Has there been any collusion associated with this agency or any contractors? What over-sight committee or management directive have been found to be suspicious? Were any State Senators or Representatives compromised or compensated in any way, manner or Shape? If collusion was involved, who investigated? Who was informed? What was found? Was any gross incompetence found and at what levels of management? Were any slush funds found? Has this fund been audited by an outside firm? Who was that firm and what were the results? Next is phase two.

Mostyn: Contributed heavily to the Trib in the name of transparent government, rewarded with lengthy Trib video interview full of softball questions denouncing republicans. Why? Because Hurricane Ike Mostyn gets fat filing frivolous law suits, only to bankroll democratic candidates across the state. But this is not a conflict of interest or an example of corporate malfeasance influencing a "non-partisan policy publication," state elections, or party platform. Mostyn is almost more of a good ol boy than Perry.
