Redistricting. It's a long process all about drawing lines that determine elections and which political party is in power in Texas. Months after the Legislature established its maps, it's still not clear who Texans will be voting for in next year's congressional and state House and Senate races. Why does TX politics have to do be so damned confusing?? Even the congressmen don`t know what is going to happen when the lines have changed, Charlie Gonzalez is not running next year, even tho he says it is not because of redistricting, seems his district in intact...for now

Districting is manipulation, just like the manipulation of numbers & words to make outcomes to one's advantage. I'm sick of it!! Draw lines by postal district or school district & let the chips fall where they may.

There is no reason that a computer program can't draw the maps. Every district should be drawn according to population and NONE should be "safe". If a politician is worried about pleasing a diverse voting constituency, they are less worried about pleasing a business constituency.

Re-post: There he goes again! Attorney General Greg Abbott trying to spin the Republican districts as OK and pushing out the minorities. This radical fringe "Lacky" will try to effect changes to shut down or slow the electoral process that would benefit minorities. His job is to work for all Texans, not just the elite few in power. Greg Abbott has failed grossly in his fiduciary responsibility to the taxpayer of Texas since he does not represent every Texan. But, this is what you get in a one party state like Texas. We need to make Texas a two party state and everyone in Texas should vote out the entrenched career politicians in Austin!
