Senate Adopts Voter ID Report
The state Senate today approved a conference committee report on the voter identification bill that includes changes that would allow citizens to use a new form of documentation to cast their ballots. The report must get OK'd in the House before it heads to the governor for a signature.
The original bill, SB 14, would require people to show a photo identification, such as a driver's license or concealed handgun license, instead of the current voter registration card, in order to vote. I don't think providing a picture ID is too onerous. I am more concerned with the Republican assault on women's rights, the environment, healthcare, and more.

No ID, no rental car. No ID, no ride on airplane. No ID, that's OK you can vote anyway. How stupid is that? Anybody that wants to take the time to vote should have no problem showing a valid picture ID.

Showing a picture ID and voters registration card seems like common sense to me. The right to vote is one of our major rights, but I think there is also a duty to ensure everyone that votes is registered, votes only once, and is who they say they are. This is even an issue why?

Showing an ID is no big deal unless you dont have one. It's the very least a person can do to vote. The Liberals dont like it because of the illegal aliens that were casting votes illegally now won't be able to. And we all know who illegal aliens vote for, don't we...
