Lyndon Olson on the Case for Civility
(Lyndon Olson, the former U.S. Ambassador to Sweden, gave this speech in Austin on Thursday, November 12, when he was honored by the Center for Public Policy Priorities.)
I want to talk with you about civility, both in society in general and in our politics in particular.
I encourage you to think back ... for some of us way back ... to those report cards we got in first grade. Most everyone had different type cards and categories, but they were pretty much variations on the same basic theme. I'm not talking about your arithmetic or reading or penmanship grades ...

thank you for sharing
what you say makes sense,
I remember my conduct in class was more important to my parents than my grades,
I help my wife , Peggy present a couples help conflict communication workshop,
civil dialogue is the process leading hopefully to Civility in daily life with others.
