Bush, Perry Tension Renewed as Governor's Star Rises
Whatever their differences, Rick Perry has at least one thing in common with Barack Obama: He apparently doesn't think much of George W. Bush, at least politically.
Going back at least two years, Perry has criticized his predecessor in the Texas Governor’s Mansion, whom he served alongside as lieutenant governor, for not being conservative enough. In a living room speech given to Iowa Republicans while he was stumping for then-presidential candidate Rudolph Giuliani, Perry complained, “’95, ’97, ’99, George Bush was spendin’ money. George has never, ever been a fiscal conservative … and I think people thought that he ...

Karl Rove and crew never liked Perry. There was always a big rift between the two camps.

Rick Perry wouldn't know leadership if it shot him in the ass. He's as phony as they come and most of the Texans voting Nov. 2 fell for it. What does THAT say for the state?

Funny thing is ... by promoting State Rights, Rick Perry is actually strengthening the case for gay marriages in Massachusetts, where the State Right's argument is being used by Liberal Judges to uphold homosexual marriage laws that are being challenged by Federal Conservatives, using the Federal Defense of Marriage Act!
So, in an ironic, Constitutional twist of fate, arch conservative Rick Perry is strengthening homosexual marriage laws in Massachusetts by promoting State Rights!

I'll be laughing jonathan if gay marriage were to happen in texas .

Rick Perry is a self-serving politician. He should have spoken up while Bush was in office but instead he shows his character by bashing him now when we already knew it when he was in office! Shows no character. Does anyone remember the incident where wife Anita caught him in bed with his male secretary. That story disappeared from the news the same day. Now he is slated for Vice President, just can't tell you when. Perry bashed Obama for spending too much but he created the 20billion dollar hole in Texas and yet, people voted for him.
