Prolific Donor Has Given $66 Million Since 2000
Over the last decade, two Republicans with the last name Perry have dominated the Texas political landscape. One is Rick, the state’s longest-serving governor. The other is Bob (no relation), the state’s largest individual political donor during that time. There is no close second.
Since 2000, Bob Perry, the wealthy Houston home builder, has contributed about $28 million to more than 400 candidates and political action committees in Texas, according to an analysis of campaign-finance data by The Texas Tribune.

It is remarkable what money can buy today! A Senate seat here; a Congressional seat there. The Congress has done a poor job of stimulating job growth. It's more than uncertainty, it's the realization that companies can fire employees to better bottom line. The employees left behind have to take up the slack or get fired themselves. Most of the layoffs were done by the mega-Corps to increase their bottom lines, while the mega-rich CEO's and CFO"s continued to get mega-bucks! The right was so stunned with his victory, they never accepted his presidency. The constant drumbeat from long before he won the presidency coupled with the FOX juggernaut and the Toxic talking heads made it almost impossible for anything to get done. There was and still is a prejudice running through the country that has hindered and kept the president on the defensive since day one. HEY CONGRESS! Stay on issues! Don't let the TEA party and the Republican party of "NO" muddy up the water! How do we lower taxes? Pay for the wars? Regulate bankers and Wall Street? This is NOT a referendum on President Obama! That's what they want this election to be! This about who is doing more for the American people, rather than filling Career politicians pockets! I say Vote out ALL incumbents! All these Yahoos do is argue, fuss and fight! Let's get new blood, ideas and plans. This current batch of career politicians need to be retired. A populist once said: "Politicians and diapers need to be changed often, and for the same reason"

Bob Perry is a true Texas and American hero. As a small business owner, I thank him for helping to create a business friendly enviorment in Texas.

So Bob Perry wants to own Texas. Nothing new there...

It's ironic, Matt, how much attention you give to Perry and how little to Mostyn. Your bias shows through in spades.

Jim, the Tribune has done 7 pieces on Mostyn in the last seven weeks, not including an 8-minute video interview. Mostyn is plenty scrutinized.

http://www.akbhomesucks.com Just Google KB Home Sucks. With his sentencing day drawing near, Bruce Karatz, former CEO of KB Home Inc., has asked the federal judge in charge of his case to ignore prosecutors' demands that he serve at least 14 years in prison for stock options backdating. Bob Perry gives more to politicians than home owners. He must have the money to loose in lawsuits if he can buy influence.
