Congressional Candidates Already Raised $9 Million
With the last congressional campaign barely over, another has already begun, and candidates in Texas are not wasting any time. Members of Congress from Texas — and potential candidates for those offices — have raised more than $9 million in the first quarter of this year in advance of the 2012 federal elections, campaign records show.

This insanity has to stop! The 2008 Presidential election cost the two parties over $1 billion. When you add in all the congressional and other elections, that number jumps to $5.3 billion. While our British cousins impose strict limits, 30,000 pound per legislative seat. Citizens United has sold our democracy to the highest bidder!
