Reason for Montague County Anomaly Discovered

It was a political mystery for the ages.

For one week, Montague County held the distinction of being the only Texas county that now-Democratic gubernatorial nominee Bill White failed to win in the March 2 primary. And he hadn't simply lost it — he had been demolished by virtually unknown San Antonio physician Alma Aguado. Inquiring minds wanted to know: What's so different about Montague County?   Turns out, nothing — it's just like all the rest of them.

Today, Montague County Democratic Chairman Lanhon Odom announced that the original election results were reported in error.
