If Texas voter's have a memory, no one with a minimum of 3 grey cells would vote for Combs. They only need to think about her mishandling of the Energy Rebate process that she endorsed. It was an epic failure - for those who don't remember. Phone lines down, Internet down. Millions of remaining $$$ were later rolled out (in a CYA action) that was: buy the energy efficient item and MAYBE we will give you some of the FED money that we bungled in the first place.
I remember her response to the EPIC fail...we went to another state and the program that we copied from them had worked oh so well for them. That is the typical response - it's not my fault, it was the private company that we hired to do the job.
Combs has also changed the TX ARRA website so many times, each time saying: improvement. That means, it improves the state's ability to decrease transparency. I have called and emailed a request for information that was once available but is no longer there. This site no longer has direct contact information - try going to a State site, see where that gets you - nowhere.
No, Combs would never get my vote - but then a lot of Texans will vote only based on political affiliation, regardless of incompetency.

Combs is counting on short term memory loss by Texas residents.
