Spokesman: George P. Bush is Still Shopping
George P. Bush’s political plans were partially unveiled Wednesday by his own father, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, in a fundraising letter that said the younger Bush was looking at a race for Texas land commissioner in 2014.
That wasn’t the last word. It’s true he’s looking at that race, according to his campaign, but that’s not the only race he is considering. Bush wasn’t available for comment, but Trey Newton, a spokesman for his campaign — which filed its startup papers with the state last week — issued a statement:

REALLY??? Can we just get a rest on all this? And why is he running here in Texas? Call me skeptical, but isn't he from Florida? Is it the name and the start of another "dynasty"? I think he should shop in Florida.

The Bushes have always been opportunistic carpetbaggers, ever since the first Senator Prescott Bush.

The name Bush should raise a red flag. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me, just don't try fooling me a third time.

He can't possibly win in Florida, so what does he do, he comes to Texas to be a carpetbagging teabagger

The exploratory committee will either be run out if the state or it will fool itself into thinking he can win here, either way he will have to home,

REALLY. His purported calling to public service consists of shopping around for a race until he finds one he can win? Sure, George P., just pick one! #disingenuous

The fact that any of those Bush people were able to go into Texas and bamboozle the voters, i.e., take over, shows the weakness of the Texas people. They're pussycats behind all that facade of bravado and hubris. Look where they are today. They are not in charge of their destiny nor are they able to home-grow their leaders anymore.

George P. Bush can run for any office he wants, but the bottom line is he's a Bush, TEA-Republicans in Texas want someone they can control and he has so little experience it is doubtful he can gain office with the new influx of Democratic voters. Texas will thrust more towards non-career politicians in the future as TEA party fringe push radically right and the state begins to moderate.
