Video: Perry Demurs on 2012, But Patrick Enthuses
After signing the abortion sonogram bill into law, Gov. Rick Perry declined to rule out a bid for the White House in 2012 — but state Sen. Dan Patrick, R-Houston, said he'd make a "great" president.

as much as I want him out of the Governor's office, I don't want him anywhere near the Oval one.

If by "great" he means "scary as all get-out", then sure! I'm so ready for the GOP primary - kind of like pausing on NASCAR during channel surfing hoping for a 20-car pile-up.

Can someone translate what Ed wrote above into readable English?

This bitch just mandated an extremely far reaching bill designed to horrify pregnant women into choosing life for there fetus. I don't have too much of a problem with the desired outcomes, instead, I am again reminded that there are no real conservatives, just bitches that want government to control every aspect of our lives. Republicans say that Obama care forces people to do something against their will. So does Perry's plan to force a woman who has decided a very personal decision to have a sonogram despite her wishes.

It would be hilarious if journalists simply didn't waste their time or ours asking the governor about his presidential plans. the poor guy would be all, "Hey, don't you wanna ask me anything...anything? Maybe ABOUT 2012? If he runs, we're all gonna know about it.

No, he would not make a great president.

Great idea! He took Texas from $8 billion dollar surplus to $27 billion dollar deficit in six short years...who wouldn't want to vote for that?

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss him... The Republicans don't have much to offer at the moment... True he has devastated this state. But he is only doing what has been expected of him, so technically by that criteria, he is doing a great job, expanding and fostering the wishes of big business and special interest. Ss far as neo con standards go... He is not a bad choice.
sssdddd
Since the economy is improving Obama is likely to win. No serious candidate wants to run in this environment.
Recent history suggests loosers of presidential races are able to increase their bankroll. I think he is just running to increase his bankroll.
Afterall he can be likely killed by building a fast boat ad featuring all perposterous things he says.

I wouldn't worry about this happening - America isn't ready for a gay President.
