Perry Ad Chastises Obama's "Lazy" Comment
The Perry presidential campaign has released a 30-second ad targeting President Barack Obama's recent use of the word "lazy" to describe Americans. It says the video is airing on national cable television and across Iowa, the site of the nation's first GOP primary.
"This ad underscores Gov. Perry's priority to overhaul Washington through common-sense measures, including a balanced budget amendment and reducing Congressional salaries," campaign spokesman Ray Sullivan wrote in an email to the press.

He is that adjective...

What's most telling about this video is that Perry decided to manipulate Obama's words and made a subpar video because of it. Instead, had he been honest about what Obama was saying (lazy attracting investment and business to America), he could have used it as a platform to explain why he thinks he'd do a better job (taxes, regulation, etc). A joke campaign ran by a joke governor. The sad thing is that he's trying. Can't wait until he's done.

Dear Perry, everytime you say someone is lazy because they are unemployed or because they need the assistance of a gov't program like WIC, Medicaid, CHIP, child care assistance etc I think it's pretty pathetic too. Hello pot, meet kettle

What's pathetic is being too lazy to put the comment into context by watching Obama's speech, or reading a transcript. It was not directed at Americans in general, and instead had to do with us needing to do a better job of attracting foreign investment.

Perry can read?

Obama is just SO DISAPPOINTED in all of us, isn't he? He's just so busy working hard on the GOLF COURSE!

Sean, it appears that you can't read either.

Will he never go away!! Even after all of his flubs and stupid tricks, he just keeps on putting himself out there. Guess he doesn't see the irony in his rants against government when he's been a state government employee for how long??!! Yes, there are lots of reforms that need to be made in Washington, but can't see how he could possibly be the one to make them. He's not a fixer of anything, but just a contrarian!

No. Perry is pathetic, for twisting The President's words.

Anyone with his grades and work history has no right to call anyone lazy. As to Sean's incredibly stupid comment about Obama working on the golf course: the reason he made news on the golf course was because he was golfing with John Boehner. It was probably the only time Boehner and his type have showed any civility to the President. Apparently you don't even have the low class of Boehner.

No, I'm pathetic for expecting a real candidate to emerge for 2012. Fooled again!

The man should not throw stones. He has already admitted he was too lazy to bother studying or practicing for the debates, and it shows in his performance.

Gov. Perry; You took Obama's words out of context! Why did you cut the full sentence? How can you promise so many things, lie, and smile all at the same time? I bet you cannot even remember all the things you have promised. You also need to stop being so rude, and pointing your hand in everybody's face and the next time you do it... I hope they break your hand off at the wrist.

Perry is Pathetic !!!!

It's a small minded message for a smaller minded audience. I don't mean that in a bad way but there is no substance here.

"Pathetic" just happens to be the first word that comes to mind when I think of Perry. And "Shameless" would be the second. And the third...."Desperate." No oops.

Just some more tea party lies and Perry misrepresentation. The President did not call American's Lazy. However, as we can see, this is just more lies/red meat designed to distort the truth. More Death Panels and Government take over of healthcare. When the Tea Party/Perry has to LIE their way through the election, it speaks volumes about their/his bankrupt policies and rhetoric.

"That's what our President thinks wrong with America."
That's what Rick Perry says.
"That's what our President thinks wrong with America."
The Perry campaign is proudly airing a campaign ad that begins with a grammatically incoherent sentence. I would say that our President is correct; some of us have gotten a little lazy.
Rick Perry knows lazy. Rick Perry lazy. Rick Perry too lazy for America.
Dale Curry
Again, I would ask that people watch the video and/or read the text of what POTUS actually said. He did not say Americans are lazy. Such an assertion is just one more tea party lie and another misrepresentation by Perry.

Lazy, Pathetic, Aggie.
