Perry Exits, And So Does His Once-Hefty War Chest
Gov. Rick Perry took his fundraising muscle with him Thursday when he bowed out of the Republican presidential race. His exit freed not only what was left in his federal campaign coffers, but also the support of the political action committee that had spent $3.9 million in Perry’s favor.
The next filing deadline for federal campaign committees is Jan. 31, making it difficult to know how much money Perry’s campaign has left. But it does not appear to be very much.
“We have spent the bulk of our funds,” said Ray Sullivan, a spokesman for Perry. “So ...

You guys in TX Tribune all go to hell. You may think you won against Perry but we will win ultimately. I still have blood shooting out of my eyes and smoke coming out of my ears for what the media did to this great man Rick Perry!!!! who would have saved this country and made a Great President !!

I got a suggestion for what they can do with the money, The following is from Progress Texas:
According to records from the Texas Department of Public Safety, we can project Perry’s security-related travel costs from the day he officially announced his candidacy to when he suspended his campaign on January 19. The $2,651,429.14 in Texas tax dollars he's wasted on jet liners and fancy hotels is money we'll never see again unless Perry pays us back.
Sign the petition, demand that Perry repay the money he has squandered.

Perry's campaign needs to refund all of the cost of his security detail for the days he was campaigning. The taxpayers of Texas should not be paying the $400,000 reported cost. It should come from his campaign account or the PAC.

The $400,000 is per month.

Karen Spivey-Cummings go tell BO bama to pay the taxpayers back.
Max Sped
“With his exit, the campaign must refund any contributions received specifically in support of the general election, since he did not make it that far.”
……………..
Will he reimburse us Texas Taxpayers – perhaps he could pay us out of some of those campaign funds before he returns them to the contributors.
Max Sped
I do not want to get that gray matter all shook up, Lynda Trahan, but President Obama has done a lot better job on the economy than your friends in The Christian Party keep telling you – maybe you should do a little bit of independent checking, huh?
If Obama would enforce our US Law instead of illegally rewriting them to take care of his Prized Illegal Aliens, I would vote for him in November. But how-in-the-world can you vote for a CHIEF LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER who refuses to enforce the law?
Dale Curry
Despite the lies, misrepresentations, and rhetoric of the right; this President has done more to enforce the borders than any President in the last 30 years. I encourage everyone to go out and GET the facts on their own.

Exactly! Reimburse the state for his security detail, their expenses, etc. while he bragged on creating jobs in Texas this could bring some of the 8000 # state jobs lost ... Like teachers to educate "our kids" (his words not mine).
Term limits in Texas!!!!!!!
