On the Records: Obama Finds Four New TX Bundlers
Coming off a third quarter of fundraising in which he outraised everyone else in the presidential field, President Barack Obama has released an updated list of volunteer fundraisers, known as "bundlers," who raise money on his behalf. Of the more than 350 bundlers disclosed by the campaign, 17 Texas fundraisers have collected more than $2.7 million.
Back in July, the Tribune took a closer look at the fundraisers based in Texas. And according to the third-quarter list, Obama has four new Texas bundlers. Peter Kraus, of Waters & Krause, LLP, raised between $100,000 and $200,000 for the campaign ...

Looks to me quite a few of these people stand to be the first in line for the handouts next time around should he win, which he will not. Four more years and we will be in real trouble.
WASHINGTON — President Bush will leave his successor with a record-high budget deficit of $482 billion, according to an administration estimate released Monday.
White House officials blamed the slowing economy and a $150-billion bipartisan stimulus package for the worsening picture for the 2009 fiscal year, but Democrats cited the president's tax cuts and fiscal management over his eight years in office.
The federal budget deficit held steady at $1.3 trillion in 2011 -- adding another $1.3 trillion to the $14.7 trillion national debt
There's one piece of good news, at least: $1.3 trillion no longer equals 8.9% of the economy, as it did last year. It's only ... 8.6%.
The bad news: Other than 2009, when the deficit was 10% of the economy, this year's red ink was greater than any other year since 1945.
Wonder why the deficit no longer is 8.9% of GDP? It is because they money they borrowed to create the deficit was added to GDP> Simply an accounting trick I am sure most of these bundlers are well aware of and probably use themselves.
And these policies have worked so well?????? Harry Reid's statement yesterday that the private sector is doing " JUST FINE" illustrates how out of touch these people are . 45% of Americans are receiving some type of government assistance, millions are on unemployment, 25% of American children are living in poverty, Real unemployment is more like 16% , close to 100,000 legal immigrants continue to come into the country every month, median income has declined since 2008, millions cannot afford their mortgages and their homes are under water, and a thousand other metrics of economic health are negative. When the rich are being taxed even more where do you think they will put their money? Start taxing the " Rich" more and they will take their money out of the country,, I would if I were rich and wanted to stay that way. Most of these bundlers and their like will be the recipients of special favors , they will make millions more, and they will invest that money OUTSIDE OF THE U.S. Attacking the so called rich is not the way to garner their favor or entice them to spend money , invest capital here at home in the hopes of getting a return on that investment. It will only serve to make them mad and take their money elsewhere. WHY WOULD THEY RISK CAPITAL FOR LESS RETURN AND THE PROMISE OF INCREASED TAXES? Ideology is replacing common sense. THE PRIVATE SECTOR IS DOING JUST FINE !
