GOP Candidates Talk Faith In Iowa
DES MOINES, Iowa — The evening promised to be different from previous debates, with moderators allowing complete answers and not posing questions that would put the White House hopefuls at odds with each other. The night was also meant to focus on how faith would guide the candidate as president. Gov. Rick Perry, never shy about his religious views, didn’t blank on any of his answers, especially when asked how he views the role of faith in political leadership.
“I’ve been driven to my knees multiple times as the governor of ...

I saw this on the hot air and Perry was the most likable and personable. He gave comfort to Cain and Santorum. But above all, he was the elephant in the room. Gov. Perry is a giant political leader, a commander in chief of 20,000 national guards, who is a very successful third term governor of a giant state, 13th economy in the world, sitting among basically bunch of mediocre politicians with no record of achievements. No wonder MSM is going after Perry and not Mitten.

Why???

Why do they not talk jobs?

Screwed up when they have more faith in a religious figure and in a book of tales than they do in their fellow humans.

Bambi: because they will then have to sound as if they know what to do to create jobs.

The days of presidential candidates using their spiritual experiences as proof of their viability as a candidate are over. It's become an embarrassment to have to listen to it. One candidate has a history of sexual harrassment. Another candidate of serial marriages, as well as history of leaving sick wives for other women. This reeks of GOP desperation and that GOP will use anything to convince a group of people how religious their candidates are, thereby demonstrating their candidates are better. Can you imagine if spiritual experience was a qualifier for all jobs in the US? Talk is cheap. The important thing is what does a candidate's record and history show.

How does faith control your life and life style? These same-same purveyors of self-philandering elites, jockeying for the vote in a faith based forum have shown they do subscribe to the word of the Lord! The Lord said: "I was hungry and you fed me, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was cold and you clothed me." These same-same self-philander-ers do not live up to the Good Lord's teachings! At a Thanksgiving forum! Kinda makes you warm and fuzzy all over! Congress, where 67% are millionaires, they all have perks to allow them to get richer, they have a part-time job generating no jobs for America and they can trade on insider information without any possibility being charged with insider trading charges! The current Congress and in fact all previous Congress' have corrupted themselves and should all be turned out for newer more considerate representation of the people rather than themselves. Kind proves: the rich, get richer and the concentration of wealth in the hands of fewer and fewer people and the concentration of power in stricter, less compassionate hands in all aspects of local, state and the federal government. These facts should make everyone's day! Kinda gives you one warm fuzzy feeling inside, don't it?

Woe unto you scribes, pharisees, hypocrites! In that day I will spew you out of my mouth because I never knew you...

The problem is that virtually none of their political stands are consistent with Christ's teachings. Oh well . What else is new??

The whole crying thing. CRYING? There's no Crying in POLITICS!
sssdddd
Mr. Perry never short on words of faith. However his record in front of God leaves him standing naked for all the world to see.
1. Perry famously prayed for rain. God sent fire and BURNED hundreds of homes in response.
2. Perry went up in the polls. God sent more fire and BURNED more homes.
3. Perry went down in the polls. God sent rain.
4. Perry went further down in the polls. God sent more rain.
Now for those of you mere mortals who do not believe it is right to declare yourself a prophet. Do not forget Mr. Perry has elevated himself above you all. He has declared himself to be a prophet from GOD. What does God think of this? I suggest you consider prior four occurences to help you in your personal decision making process.
Mr. Perry has behaved not like a man of God but a Christian soldier. Mr. Perry has flirted with treason, common assault and racial discrimination in an effort to make himself look big.
1. Mr. Perry famously flirted with assulting Ben Bernanke by famously declaring there were some people who might cause harm to Mr. Bernanke.
2. Mr. Perry has famously flirted with Texas secession. This is an act that would result in all out war between the states, with Texas being occupied by Federal troops. Not my idea of conservatism.
3. In his book, Mr. Perry has called for the elimination of the commerce clause of the constitution. That way we could serve blacks, muslims, and Perry haters out by the dumpster. Thereby saving seat space for Baptists in the front.
Oh yes Mr. Perry is the big man in the room. However the bigger they are, the harder they fall...

Let's see... Perry's on his knees and God advises him to send hundreds of human beings to their deaths despite the statistical odds that some of them are innocent. I wonder if we're talking about the same God? The one I'm most familiar with doesn't support lethal injection. Maybe there's a clone, or a Texas God...

..i'll believe them when they show love for their enemies, give up all their worldly goods and follow the teachings of their (new testament) God ( i know, i know "..not perfect, just forgiven...blah, blah, blah"). until then, to me it's all just so much blathering, self-congratulatory horse$hit.

Rick Perry has signed yet another pledge to Bob Vander Plaats after signing a pledge to Grover Norquist signing away self control. I prefer a candidate who can stand on his own two feet and not pay homage to any other person, organization or deity. The pledge advocates several issues, including the Defense of Marriage Act, personal fidelity to the signee’s spouse, appointment of “faithful constitutionalists” as judges, and reformation of anti-marriage elements in divorce, tax and welfare laws. All the pledges these extreme TEA/GOP/Republican candidates sign show they are in cahoots with strange bed fellows on taking total control of every aspect of American life. The first question that comes to mind is: Why is there a greater allegiance towards and for people like Bob Vander Plaats and lobbyist like Grover Norquist, than the American public or economy? These people are the puppet-masters of the TEA/.GOP/Republican fringe! I would prefer a candidate will Kahunas to be the candidate, rather than anyone's puppet!
