Front-runner's Absence Noted At Forum
COLUMBIA, S.C. — Rick Perry missed his first opportunity to appear on a national stage with his Republican rivals, but the absence of the presidential front-runner did not keep him out of the conversation.
The televised forum in the state that holds the first southern primary began Monday night on a programming note, saying that the Texas governor would not be able to attend because of the wildfires raging back home.
“Certainly we missed him,” said South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint, the main organizer of the event and a leading voice of the Tea Party movement. “But I think, again ...

Governor Goodhair does not believe in global climate change or evolution. How can anyone call Perry a smart guy?

“I think the better measure of a leader is how open are they to reaching out to incorporating good and smart people and good and smart ideas,” Mulvaney said. “I’m more interested in the results than I am in the past history.”
Well Mr. Mulvaney should be interested in past history so we will not repeat ourselves and elected another village idiot from TX - I'll just pass on the good and smart with good and smart ideas since I 'm sure he was not referring to Gov Perry on either front.

God's wrath has burned 1000 Texas homes in an act reminiscent of Sherman's march to the sea.
By this act God has forced Perry to not attend the rally in the state where the most treasonous acts of the civil war were conducted.
It is a wonder that any christian would support Perry after this signal from the creator.

Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry delighted a conservative audience in South Carolina Monday with his simple stance on gun control legislation. "Honestly, the next question is so easy that I don't even want to ask it," event host Rep. Tim Scott (R-SC) told Perry. "Are you for gun control?" "I am actually for gun control," Perry deadpanned. "Use both hands." The Texas governor followed his joke by flashing a toothy grin and giving the audience a thumbs up.

So as Rick Perry gallivants around the country running for President, he's spending our scarce gas taxes to pay for his security detail, gas taxes he claims have run out and can longer keep up with paying for roads. Perry has used this argument to justify charging Texans new toll taxes to access their public roads, including selling Texas sovereign roads to foreign entities and slapping tolls on existing roads. Perry is conveniently starving Texans' gas taxes that are needed for roads by using them to fund his security detail on the campaign trail instead of working in his office in Texas where security costs aren't near as costly to taxpayers. More hypocrisy from a man who claims to be a 'fiscal conservative.'
