In Texas Debate, Cain and Gingrich Don't Mention Perry
Herman Cain and Newt Gingrich, two Tea Party favorites for the GOP presidential nomination, came to Rick Perry's home turf to debate on Saturday. But in an event hosted by the Texas Patriots PAC that was far more dialogue than debate, the two had little to say about their Texas rivals, Perry and U.S. Rep. Ron Paul.
The only sparks of the night flew in the media spin room after the debate, when a reporter asked Cain about the news of the week: that sexual harassment allegations were levied against him when he headed the National Restaurant Association ...

It might as well be Sesame Street

This was not a debate. I saw this and I was very offended. I am horrified by anyone who would specifically support calling this a debate. They examined issues, supported their arguments--but they did not debate anything.

Lou, then Perry should have attended and promoted his ideas. I understand he was invited and declined.

Classic stall: "I have NOOOO CLUE what defined or premium Medicare mumbo jumbo means so......YOU GO FIRST NEWT!!"

Schavion, if by "debate" you mean arguing and shouting over each other, you're correct. It hapeens that both candidates agree on solutions to the issue discussed - reforming entitlment programs Social Security, Medicare & Medicaid. I was pleased that rather than manufacture squabbles, they used the time to discuss the specifics of various proposals - the "adult conversation" we've all been asking for.

Social Security and Medicare? Damn right I'm entitled, I have been paying into them for over 45 years. When I pay for an item, I expect to get it. Not to have the rules changed.
Newt is a douche, and Cain an ignorant huckster.

Dumb and Dumbass.

Sorry but Sesame Street has much more socially relevant and morally redeeming purpose. Neither of these two (thank GOD!) will ever be President. Cain is not even credibly running a campaign and Gringrich is equally non-electible. As a Democrat, I strongly encourage all Republicans to nominate either of these two as Perry's running mate. Please!?
