Van Arsdale Seeks Return to House
Former state Rep. Corbin Van Arsdale, defeated in Tomball in the 2008 Republican primary, will run for an open seat in Cedar Park in 2012.
Van Arsdale served for three terms before losing to Allen Fletcher, R-Tomball. He's since moved from the Houston area to the suburbs north of Austin, in Williamson County.
He's aiming at HD-149, an open seat where the only other declared candidate is Ted Pataki, the son of former New York Gov. George Pataki.

It's the new district that includes Cedar Park and part of Austin that is in Williamson County.

Williamson Co conservatives will all support Van Arsdale. He has a proven voting record and is well-respected in this new district.

Defeated Travis County legislative candidate Holly Turner is married to one of the political consultants running Van Arsdale's Campaign. Like Van Arsdale, Turner was a carpetbagger who tried to just move into a House district and run. It did not work for Turner and it certainly won't work for a defeated Lobbyist politician like Van Arsdale. He is not well respected up here - he is not even known. But those who have met him so far are not impressed.
We like tourists here in Wilco, we even like some Lobbyists; but we don't elect them to represent us in the Texas House.
