Jones Strikes Back at Wentworth's "Puppet" Ad
The already simmering race in Senate District 25 continues to heat up.
Last week, state Sen. Jeff Wentworth, R-San Antonio, released a harsh television ad depicting his opponent, former Railroad Commissioner Elizabeth Ames Jones, as a literal puppet being controlled by Texans for Lawsuit Reform — or, as the ad says, “a big business special interest group from Houston.”
Today, Jones' campaign put out an ad of its own responding to the attack. It features Bexar County District Attorney Susan Reed, who says in the 30-second spot, "I know political campaigns can be rough, but Wentworth's attacks on Elizabeth Ames ...

Wentworth is a despicable person. How long can one person live off of his campaign donors before his constituents wake up and throw him out? Someone needs to ask him how many lobbyists and his senate staff he signed up under the illegal MLM BurnLounge scam. He was a paid lobbyist who lobbied state agencies as a sitting senator. He belongs in jail, not in the Texas Senate.

Interesting counter-point ad. I wonder what Elizabeth Ames Jones and Susan Reed think about humiliating, degrading, and unconstitutional forced invasive vaginal ultrasounds for Texas women.
