Hey, Texplainer: I keep seeing all these states moving up their Republican primaries to earlier and earlier dates in 2012. When is Texas' primary, and will my vote even matter by the time I get to cast it?

The political parties should require all states to hold their primaries and caucuses on the same day of the year. That way the primary results of some states do not influence how people vote in other states. This is how we do the general elections in November, and it works well.
