Gonzalez Toureilles Seeks to Unseat Lozano in HD-43
As she campaigns across South Texas, former legislator Yvonne Gonzalez Toureilles says there’s something that stands out about her: She’s the only Democratic female candidate in the area.
Gonzalez Toureilles, a lawyer, represented House District 35 for three terms but was ousted in 2010. She is now challenging state Rep. J.M. Lozano, a Kingsville Republican who recently switched parties, in the newly drawn House District 43.
When Lozano announced his switch in March, he said Texas Democrats bullied him for voting in the interests of his district.
Gonzalez Toureilles finds that amusing.

Gonzalez will win by 5-10%, Lozano barely won his primary, and Obama is winning latinos 70% to 30%. People in south Texas don't trust flip floppers like Lozano.

Lozano wins hands down! The Rep. has done a good job for his community Republican or Democrat. For you all that don't read the news, Dist. 43 has been trending Republican and continues to be a safe REPUBLICAN DIST. Couple that with Obama's numbers down 15% amoung Hispanics. JM wins by 10-15%.

She is a Democrat, so she is a bully. She uses the fact that she is a female to get away with it. She wants to get back in politics because that makes her feel powerful. She was ousted from her last position.

The Latinos are going for Obama? Why? Is it because they think they will get "amnesty"? If Obama is re-elected, the "amnesty" deal he offered the Latinos, in order to get their vote, will be thrown out, and those that applied will lose their $300+ application fee. Obama did not have the right to give an offer for amnesty and his actions were illegal according to our constitution. It will eventually be overturned. This administration in Washington is the most corrupt in the history of the United States.
