Defeated Candidates Ask Voters for Another Shot
Maybe the voters didn’t mean it. Could be they have reconsidered. It may have been a mistake, or a bunch of them got busy and never made it to the polls. Perhaps they were just as surprised the morning after the elections as the losers were, and maybe now the voters want their former incumbents back.
Or maybe it’s just that some candidates need to lose more than once to get the message.
It’s already clear, even with time remaining in the candidate-filing period, that the 2012 ballot will be stippled with retreads, officeholders who were cast ...

These folks are all a lost cause and remember a vote for a democrat is a vote for Obama and illegal aliens, homosexuals and terrorist.

gypsy: a vote for a DEM is a vote for President Obama....is magically a vote for undocumented immigrants, homosexuals and terrorists, really? One really has to wonder if you have selective reading problems: TT headlines for today: Undocumented Immigration numbers are DOWN. Marine discusses DADT and said - No big deal and Terrorist- what imaginary villain are you discussing.
I understand that it is hard to reconcile your rhetoric with facts, but even here in TX, most of us prefer facts to a whirl-wind of conspiracy theories.
In a just the facts moment: Dec 2011: prosecuted an individual (US citizen) for trying to bomb a military base, Nov : prosecuted Terrorist (V Bout) Oct: prosecuted US citizen for trying to export military components to Iraq, Oct 2011 - Christmas Day bomber pled guilty. These are completed cases! So terrorist are being tried and convicted - which I presume you fail to know about - or perhaps don't care?

Just maybe the fact that the majority of these attempted retreads are Democrats is that they are uncomfortable in the real world of the private sector.

Just because a candidate has lost an election (or two) has never been a barrier to winning later...For example, Abraham Lincoln (despite all the talk about it) LOST the U.S. Senate election to Judge Douglas in 1858 but came back two years later to win the big one. There is also (to all our regrets) Richard Nixon who lost to JFK in 1960 and then lost to Jerry Brown's daddy, Pat, for governor of California in 1962 but (God moves in mysterious ways) came back to be elected President in 1968. Although many folks act under the old saying---If you don't first succeed, try again but if you don't succeed the second time, give up before you make a fool of yourself---others go with Churchill (who also lost an election or two in his day) who said: "Never give up; Never give up; Never give up...".

Someone honest Dem or GOP needs to run in West Houston, Where Sarah Davis squeaked in and then proved to be the most ignorant and intellectually dishonest legislator.
On March 22 she ranted that the Texas Schools have more administrators than teachers. I don't know her but happened to catch it. At the time I was finishing my term as a school board member active statewide in education. I promptly supplied Ms Davis with the correct figures 306,000 teachers and 25,097 admin. She then added Janitors and aides to the ADMIN numbers to make her case and banned me from the site.
One can be for more school funding, one can be against, once can be a Democrat or a Republican -it doesn't matter, however if you hold Texas office you should be knowledgeable and honest. Sadly Davis is neither.

We have lost our values, these politicians have not shame corruption is rampant in this United States, they had their chance but they betray our trust. If they have any once of honesty in their character they must tell the truth, the truth will set them free and re-store some of their character. The politicians of this United States should not underestimate the will of the people; we will take our country back.
