Perry: Cruz Backers Don't Know "How Texas Works"
A Super PAC backing Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst's bid for the U.S. Senate released a new web video Friday in which Gov. Rick Perry praises Dewhurst's conservative record and criticizes some backers of his rival, former Texas Solicitor General Ted Cruz, as uninformed.
"There's a whole lot of people who don't intimately and expertly know how Texas operates that have come in and endorsed in this race," Perry says in the ad. "With all due respect, I respect each one of those individuals, but they don't know anything about how Texas works, and if they did, they would be endorsing David Dewhurst."
The ad, posted only hours before Dewhurst and Cruz were scheduled to participate in their first debate of the Republican primary runoff, was produced by the Texas Conservatives Fund Super PAC, which is run by former Perry campaign manager Rob Johnson.

Gosh Rick, on the Presidential campaign trail, you said that those of us didn't agree that illegal alien students should get in-state tuition had no heart and now those of us that back Ted Cruz "don't know how Texas works". What a great way to influence people and make friends, Rick. I think many of us who support Cruz have spent a great deal of time "knowing how Texas works", including spending a substantial amount of time in Austin last year during the legislative session. I think a lot of us who support Cruz are the common ordinary working Texas citizen sho makes up the vast majority of Texas and "knows exactly how Texas works" and should work. Greg Abbott please run for governor!!!

Does anybody really care about who Governor Perry endorses? If he has so much time to comment, I wish he'd spend SOME time helping the citizens of this state. How many plans has he presented to feed the needy in Texas? Provide adequate and timely healthcare, dental, eyecare and mental healthcare for the citizens of this state.

With all due respect, Governor, we know how Texas works now and we know how we want it to work in the future. Some of that, we have in common with you and other parts, not so much.
