Ted Cruz Easily Wins U.S. Senate Race
Ted Cruz, a Harvard-educated lawyer and Tea Party icon, easily won the U.S. Senate race Tuesday night, becoming the first Hispanic from Texas to land the job.
Cruz had a huge, insurmountable lead in early returns. In early statewide returns, his total was slightly behind Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney's total, but the gap represented a relatively low number of split ballots. Romney was beating President Obama by more than 15 points with about 85 percent of the precincts reporting, according to early unofficial returns.
The outcome of the U.S. Senate race was never much in doubt ...

We must apologize to the Senate for sending this guy to D.C.

A Cruz win is the key to the defeat of Perry, Dewshurt, Cornyn, and down ballot Republicans

I apologize to America for Texas sending such an ideologue to the Senate.

So sorry that Sadler didn't win!

Obama also passed with ease.
God is now punishing Texas with 'abnormal' weather again...

@Justin, I would love to see Perry, Dewhurst, Cornyn, Abbott and other down ballot Republicans crater, too. But I don't understand your logic.

Please stop referring to him as Hispanic. Cuban isn't Hispanic and Cruz is much more of an old white Republican than anything else.

I voted straight Democratic ticket in this red state. Romney-Ryan got thumped - Gallegos trumped Canseco - Ohio made the day - And Castro represents Texas too! One outstanding day. Texas must get their act together and oust the remaining confrontationalist and get back to work for the people and not the special interest. Perry, Dewhurst and the rest of the anti-Obama coalition in Austin. Texas is part of the United States, and we want to make sure Texas gets its portion of taxes sent to us and used for the people and not special interests.

When will Texans stop voting for these Republican guys who work for the fat cats and would just as soon steal your retirement so you can work for the rest of your lives.

My suggestion is that Senator elect Cruz enjoys his term, it will be his last. There is a new day coming for Texas, a day when this state switches to a true swing state, and finally a blue state. So please feel free to keep up the angry rhetoric and you total opposition to Immigration reform. Every time you spew your slander you hasten this day a little more.

Sounds like he is clever and has learned how to play the game. He's playing conservative-thinking Republicans like puppets on a string. Next challenge is to pull a Karl Rove by getting the really rich ones to part with lots of their money.
What are the passions that drive these people? .
