Congressional Roundup: Gallego Closely Defeats Canseco
In the state's closest — and most expensive — congressional race, Democratic challenger state Rep. Pete Gallego ousted incumbent Republican U.S. Rep. Francisco “Quico” Canseco in Congressional District 23. He’s one of eight new faces in the 36-member Texas congressional delegation.

Romney-Ryan got thumped - Gallegos trumped Canseco - Ohio made the day - And Castro represents Texas too! One outstanding day. Texas must get their act together and oust the remaining confrontationalist and get back to work for the people and not the special interest. Perry, Dewhurst and the rest of the anti-Obama coalition in Austin. Texas is part of the United States, and we want to make sure Texas gets its portion of taxes sent to us and used for the people and not special interests.
