he didn't outraise White, he sold more of his soul and our governorship to his corporate masters...

Let me make sure I understand. When a Democrat raises more money that a Republican it is because the people have spoken. When a Republican raises more than a Democrat he is selling his soul. I wonder what it means when George Soros gives money to the Democrats?

Another thought, when Unions give to a Democrat candidate, who is the candidate going to represent? The people or the unions? Sell your soul? It cuts both ways. Money is part of politics.

And I outvoted Rick Perry by one in early voting last week!

Mac, did you even read the article? In no way does this sensationalize Perry's money as being evil while praising White's. It's entirely a short, factual statement about the current financial situation right before the election. If you haven't noticed, the Tribune is reporting this sort of thing quite frequently; in no way does Perry's slightly higher total make it suddenly newsworthy. Every statement about one candidate's money is immediately followed by an analogous statement about the other candidate's. Matt even used "trial-lawyer" as an adjective to describe one of White's donors. What the hell else do you want?

There are four candidates, but only two were mentioned. The article was, therefore, incomplete.

Scott, I was responding to Ed Covington's comment. Read his comment and then read mine and it will make sense. Texas Tribune is as pure as the wind driven snow.

Fair enough, sorry. It's not that I care about protecting the Texas Tribune's image; it's that I can't stand the incomprehension of objective reporting (w.r.t. party).
