Perry, KBH in Web Video War Over Fancy Travel
G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S, yeah
G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S
We flyin' first class up in the sky
all the champagne livin' the life
In the fast lane and I won't change
By the glamorous, ooh, the flossy, flossy
—Lyrics to "Glamorous," by Fergie
Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison's prolific travel on private jets has inspired a sleek Perry campaign web video, edited to a well-known tune by Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas. (Don't know if Fergie is going to take issue with her song being used for a campaign purpose.) Watch for yourself:
The Hutchison campaign isn't shying away from the subject ...

I don't know anything about these travel records, but I do know this is the second time the Perry campaign has used music in an Internet ad, and the last time it was illegal and the record company objected.
I do not see the legal disclaimers that they received permission from the Black Eyed Peas or their label.
This is a commercial use. That ain't right.
Let me put this in Texas terms: Illegal use of music is to that industry what cattle theft is to ranching.

I kind of like the ad but it makes me think that Kay Bay is a baller and I want to be like her.
The up-beat music completely distracts me from the message. Kay Bay = Glamorous.
Perry Campaign Fail. Try again.
