Off to the Races!
With only a little trepidation, allow us to forecast the results of some of next November's elections.
The list starts with Comptroller Susan Combs, who is unopposed in the Republican primary on March 2 and didn't draw a Democratic opponent for the November general election. The resources on your site are great but this database makes me question the comprehensiveness and accuracy of them. First, looking at state house races, many very qualified Republicans are missing from your list-- noticeably a number in North Texas districts and a few in Harris County. Also Libertarian candidates are not on any of your listings that I see. Is this something that will be corrected/updated?

CathyH: The lists aren't complete (as noted in the story) because the state parties don't yet have complete lists. For instance: Tarrant County's number weren't available from the state party when we got the files last night. They have 10 days to complete the rollup, and we'll keep updating as new information becomes available. As for the Libertarians: They're sending us a file in a format we can upload, and it'll be in the database as soon as we have it.
For everyone: If you see a hole or a mistake, shoot us a note via the feedback form on the database page. We'll fix it.

Given that y'all have provided the most thoughtful and comprehensive coverage of the SBOE to date, I am surprised they are not on this database as well.

JJ: We'll have SBOE races when we push the next version of the app later this afternoon.
