DCCC Releases New Ad Attacking Flores in CD-17

The first CD-17 spot from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee says Republican Bill Flores has stuck taxpayers with a $7.5 million bill. The ad, which will begin running Tuesday, opens with a clip of Flores saying, "I know what it means to borrow debt. I know what it means to repay it." Then a screen — citing a recent Dallas Morning News article that revealed Flores had yet to return $7.5 million he received from the federal government to save his company from a bankruptcy — reads, "Bill Flores, Getting Rich on Government Bailouts."
