Perry's Adult Stem Cell Treatment Was Doctor's First Attempt
The doctor who performed a controversial adult stem cell infusion on Rick Perry during a July spinal surgery said Wednesday night that he’d never done the procedure before he did it for the governor, who could announce a run for the presidency any day.
Meanwhile, the lab that cultured Perry’s stem cells is the Texas branch of a South Korean company that has made international headlines for commercialized dog cloning, "regenerative" beauty products and allegations of so-called “stem cell tourism.”
Dr. Stanley Jones, a Houston orthopedic surgeon and personal friend of Perry’s, has been a staunch advocate ...

Mix a pinch of stem cells into two teaspoons of fat, place in a covered dish and allow to rise for a week or two until doubled in size. Using a Cajun Fat Boy Marinade Injector, inject one teaspoon of the slurry into "the spine" and another into the bloodstream. Reserve the remainder for regenerative hair care. Presto-change-o, go give dem librals hell, Mr. Macho.
Whatever floats your boat. I guess he's through with prayer and snake-handlin'.

is that how he keeps his hair so nice? stem cells?

He's going down that slippery human/animal hybrid slope that W warned us about. See what happens when you give evolutionary biologists an inch?

Given 'em an inch, they make a Perry.

As a Resident of Texas. I'm Telling you Perry in The White House would be bad for this Country. If it benefits him or his Cronies Perry is for it. If its going to Cost his wealthy constituents or Campaign Contributors.....(that would benefit the public)Perry is Against IT

wonder if the doc scraped all of the yellow off his "no debates" spine, so no one will remember his cowardice during his last race?

As an Advocate for Life, I support ALL forms of stem cell research; and hope that the Governor has long-lasting, good results from this treatment which would never have been developed without the knowledge gained by EMBRYONIC STEM CELL research.

Doesn't a lot of his right wing base oppose this kind of activity?
Texans Against Rick Perry via Texas Tribune on Facebook
His base is stupid, so you can't use them as any kind of benchmark (so to speak). This is the base that runs around talking about his balanced budget, no mention or knowledge of stimulus funds used or the $26B deficit.

Scott Chase, there are two kinds of stem cell research: one that depends on the destruction of human embryos (and which has no evidence that it's useful in humans) and non-destructive, "adult stem cells." In this case, Rick Perry received his own stem cells. No one had to die for his treatment.
Texans Against Rick Perry via Texas Tribune on Facebook
No one has to die for embryonic stem cell research, either.

Too bad the junior doctor didn't do a brain transplant!

This is grabbing at straws. You could attack his liberal policy, liberal past and libral market agendas. However I think that would be too close to the views of others against him.

Absolutely perfect! Somebody get the word out to the ultra conservatives who totally oppose stem cell procedures. Maybe THIS could keep goodhair out of the Prez race. We can only hope and pray (without him).

GOD HATES RICK PERRY. PERRY PRAYED A FEW MONTHS AGO FOR RAIN, AND GOD GAVE US THIS DROUGHT, BECAUSE OF RICK PERRY'S EVIL WAYS.

Don't begrudge him this at all. Even though we're talking different types of stem cells, if more conservatives see the positive effects of any sort of stem cell treatment, perhaps their opposition will wane. I'm hoping the Governor paid for this surgery and treatment. There'd be a huge conflict of interest if not.
