The Oops Diaries: Hugs and Tears in Iowa
"I walked with [CBS reporter] Rebecca Kaplan back to our floor, and we both decided this was the most disastrous and yet most entertaining campaign we would probably ever cover. It would never be this good again. From treasonous Ben Bernanke to all those heartless immigrant haters, through the oops moment, the voting-age gaffe, Sonia Monteyamor and Joe Arapahoe, we had been there to chronicle it. We killed it, man!"

He had the courage to enter a national race and he benefited from it. Staff doctors discovered the sleep Apnea and got him exercising. If you like campaign stories, I recommend Primary Colors with John Travolta, a derivative of the Clinton Campaign.

I would have though you'd have found the "You didn't build that." 'It was the video." 'Bump in the road." campaign would be more exciting. Of course, there you'd be tasked with burying the bobbles, rather than blast them to the world.

Well done, Jay. Very funny. I'm headed to Amazon next.
As for the Perry-apologist commenters, to paraphrase: "Stay Delusional My Friends." Primary Colors is about a two-time winner who was a successful president and is now hugely popular. The Oops Diaries is about a failed candidate who never came close to winning his party's nomination and became a laughingstock of the nation.
And, Mike O., with bookmakers now putting odds on Obama's reelection at 75%, I can understand why you're unhappy with your candidate's repeated self-imolations. The Romney campaign is the Perry campaign writ large.

Perry has never taken ownership of anything he's screwed up, much like Mittens. C'mon, sleep apnea was the reason behind his failed campaign? It went undiagnosed for eight years and his wife never noticed anything amiss? Jeez, what a moron. It's time to put term limits back in and get this joker out of office!
